These are the words of a young boy in Matoaka Tuesday afternoon. This special trip to West Virginia was to provide beds and bedding to several families that we heard the children were sleeping on the floor. We delivered a bed room suite and day bed complete with blankets, sheets and spreads. We delivered to another family two twin beds complete with blankets, pillows, sheets and spreads. What a joy to see the excitement of those folks on receiving these much needed items.
But the words of that young boy who was one of a group that had gathered as we unloading the items at the first family are still ringing in my ears. It was sad to tell that young man that the other beds were for another family. Oh how I wish that I had the funds to meet all the needs of the people.
Join me in prayer that God would provide additional beds and bedding to help that young boy that he along with others can have their own bed.
The journey was hard as we left at 6 AM and arrived back home at 9:30 PM, but the amazing thing about it all is I wasn’t tired. Oh what joy there is in serving others in Jesus name!
We will be going back on January 20 for another clothes give away in the Matoaka Gym, the town is so good in providing us a place to set up.
