Breaking New Ground

Last week we traveled to Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, for our first outreach in the area we are seeking to begin a hands on ministry. On Friday afternoon we delivered the food that was donated to Gary and Lily Melton at Mountain Market Place Mission in Webster Springs. They were so excited to see the food that many of you provided.

Early Saturday morning we set up in the parking lot of Calvary Baptist Church with the clothes that were carried for distribution. It was such a joy to see those folks being able to get the clothes that they needed. We got the names of all who came through and signed up 23 people that were interested in a food program.

While we were there I received a call from a family that we knew that had lost everything in a fire and were waiting on a house. They now have a place to call home and needed assistance in obtaining furniture to furnish it.

On Monday we had someone meet them at our storage building and assisted them with what we had there and traveled back up Wednesday with additional furniture.

The smiles on their faces make it worth it all, thanks to our faithful supporters who make it all possible. May God bless each of you.
