GOD CONTINUES TO SUPPLY

I go back and remember when we first wanted to reach out to the impoverished areas of West Virginia that we called and asked several churches to help us. The response was unbelievable. Through you generously we were able to make a difference in the lives of a few out of thousands.

What many folks don't understand is why we go to West Virginia when there are people here that need help too. You must understand that they are all in the same condition and they can't help one another, folks outside the area must help.

God continues to bless us, with folks who are always providing and we have been able to make a trip most every month, sometimes twice a month. We will be going again this coming week and we covet your prayers for a safe journey.

And the pennies, oh that's another thing! It's unbelievable that you have been so gracious. When God laid on my heart to collect a million pennies my mind couldn't understand. A million pennies, do you know how many pennies that is, yes a million pennies. How many pennies go through our pockets in a year. I used to save pennies, kept them in a medicine jar, probably five gallon jug. I remember I went to move it one day as it sat by the fireplace and the whole bottom came out. The weight was more than the bottle could stand.

We have received pennies in everything from gallon jugs to coffee cans, butter containers, plastic bags, even a piggy bank. It's been unbelievable, since the first penny found in the parking lot of Burger King until today we have collected and deposited 66,783. Yes we still have more to be deposited as the bank doesn't want me to bring over a hundred dollars at the time and I can understand that.

All those pennies, were collected since the start on July 25, 2010. At that rate it will take, 1062 days or 2 years 11 months and 14 days, or a projected date of September 23, 2013.

Isn't that exciting to look that far ahead in time and wonder what it is that God wants to do with all those pennies. Many thoughts have entered my mind, but then my mind goes back to the verse of scripture in, 1 Corinthians 2:9; "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Again let me emphasize that none of this could be possible without my many partners like you.
