NEW BUILDING WITH RAMP
We spent the night in the fellowship hall at Calvary Baptist Church in Meadow Bridge and none of us had much sleep. Trying to sleep with our sleeping bags on the concrete floor was a little too much for these old bodies. You have to understand that we could have done better. But we just laughed about the situation.
Next morning we were up around 4 AM as we couldn't sleep so talked until day break and went into Beaver, WV for some additional supplies and enjoyed breakfast at Hardee's. After finishing the ramp we ate sandwiches that Donna prepared and back to work. Working until 5 PM and worn out from the lifting of the plywood for the ceiling, it was back to the church for a night's rest.
After attending the Wednesday night service at Calvary we enjoyed sandwiches from the Chicken Salad that Melanie had prepared. One of the church members returned with an air mattress to go with one that was upstairs for Terry and Wayne and I discovered that the sofa I tried to sleep on the night before was actually a sofa bed.
So we all tucked in for a good nights rest. Sometimes during the night I discovered Wayne was missing but I didn't go look for him when I saw lights down the hall. But he reappeared sometimes during the night. He said he had a tough time going to sleep with Terry snoring, probably me too, but he didn't say. Terry said he woke up during the night and someone else must have been in the building as he heard snoring and knew that neither Wayne or myself snored.
Well that's enough on that subject, we had decided that we would work until we finished the installation and then go home. Donna had said that she would fix a breakfast Pizza for us before we started to work. Not me, just give me some toast and coffee, I don't really care for pizza anytime and surely not for breakfast
We completed the insulation by 9 AM and we're back to the church for a shower and the return trip home, arriving around 4:30 PM. Sure wish that we could have completed the work on this trip, but we will go back on the 25th to complete it.
What a wonderful time of fellowship I enjoyed with Terry and Wayne and look forward to our return trip. Maybe we can talk someone else into going along who's looking for a great experience.
We had the opportunity to see Donna's ministry in action these few days. To see those folks coming in after the clothes, dishes and what ever they could get was such a blessing. I thank God for the privilege that He has given Marianne and I to be a part of His wonderful ministry. And thanks to each of our wonderful friends for your faithful support of this ministry.
