TO GOD BE THE GLORY

We received word Monday that the building was delivered to Danese, WV. Donna called excited that the long awaited dream had arrived. Let me pause and say a big thank you to everyone that made this buiding a reality.

We left Wednesday afternoon at 2 for a trip to Marketplace Mountain Miniteries with Gary and Lilly Melton in Webster Springs, WV. The Lord had blessed us so this month that we delivered clothes, housewares and a small amount of food items. We literally cleaned our warehouse out, so you know what that means. God will again supply the needs of the people.

Upon arrival as usual the people were lined up to receive their bags of food and clothes. A group of young people from Ohio were there ministering and they immediately began to unload our truck and trailer. What a blessing to witness the young people joyfully working for Jesus. We even saw one young lady as she was witnessing to a young girl from the area. There was also a group from the Pee Dee Association from South Carolina, and we had the opportunity to meet Ron Taylor, the Director of Missions.

After we unloaded we spent sometime with Gary and Lilly as they lifted our spirits, filled us in on how God was contining to bless the ministry, and meet the needs. Gary informed us that they are in need of a team to come and do some construction work on the new building they are wanting to build. I sincerely hope that after the block work is done that I may be able to get some men to go help with the inside work. Gary also expressed his need of a small truck or trailer that might be used to haul their trash off each week as the company picking it up greatly increased the fees which they can not afford. To bad they could not have seen the ministry part and donated their time and resources. But many folks just don't get the picture of what missions is all about.

We traveled on to Danese to see the new buildng and do some measuring so that we might get the material to complete the inside. Hopefully we will be able to go up on the 11th of August with a crew to get that accomplished. When we arrived, Donna was busy with others sorting clothes.

Bless her heart, she is so excited over her ministry. Her garage is full with items to be put in the new building when completed. We also have need of four (4) six (6) foot folding tables to go down the center of the building. The cost is $51.00 at Lowes which we can purchase in Beckley,WV. Any help would be appreciated.

The Lord has laid on my heart the amount of $10,000 for the ministry in West Virginia, I do not know at this time what He wants to do but I will be faithful to Him. I came up with the idea of collecting one million pennies. Wow! You say you've got to be kidding. God provided $7,197.00 for the building so what is $10,000 to Him. I would like to encourage each of our friends and churches that have supported our ministry to begin collecting now. Jars or containers can be placed in Sunday School classed and children would get a thrill our of being a part of this ministry. I don't want folks to send $$ or checks as I want it to be pennies. Something that seems impossible, but with God we know that nothing is impossible. There will be a place in this blog that you can see how the pennies are growing. When the first one hundred dollars is received I will open up an add on CD to keep a record of the dollar amount. I sincerely hope that you will help us achieve this goal. God will bring it to pass in His time.

Again let me thank you for your faithful support this past year, Marianne and I could not have done this without you.
