Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve updated our blog, but we will try to do better and catch you up to date on our ministry.
On April 14 we went back to Meadow Bridge, WV where we stayed at Calvary Baptist Church and attended Wednesday night services, the next day we traveled to Ivydale to work with Rick Canfield at Lighthouse Mission distributing food at the pantry in the morning. That afternoon we traveled over to Webster Springs to Mountain Marketplace Mission to visit our friends Gary and Lilly Melton as this was their day to distribute food and clothes.
On Friday we traveled over to Montcoal, WV to the sight of the coal mine accident but all the mine’s were closed so we weren’t able to see anything.
Saturday morning we traveled to Little Birch, WV to our friends B. B. and Jane Marshall at Little Birch Baptist Church as this was their day for food and clothes distribution. We enjoyed working to help them.
Sunday, April 25 we worshiped with our friends at Butler United Methodist Church as they were so great in assisting us with supplies for our trip to West Virginia.
Sunday May 16 we preached at our former church Sand Hill Baptist Church in Varnville, SC. How great it was to be with our friends from back in the eighty’s, it was a wonderful reunion.
We began as interim Pastor of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church in Grenwood, SC on June 2. Our desire is to be able to assist them until the calling of a pastor.
On June 3 we made an overnight trip to Meadow Bridge to carry a load of clothes.
We had a trip planned to Ivydale on June 16 but due to a death we didn’t get to make it. Hopefully we will be able to make the trip in July.
We also covet your prayers as we just found out that Marianne has Basal Cancer on her nose and will have surgery for it's removal soon. God has been so faithful in the past with restoring her back to health and we trust that He will do the same this time also.
Thank you for your faithful support and prayers.
